1st dress attempt

I received my new sewing machine about 3 weeks ago. I had a sewing machine before that never did work right, as a result I have very little sewing experience. I am an absolute beginner. Right now I am in the practice stages, only using patterns I have and material I have or from the thrift store. I didn't have enough of any one fabric to make a whole dress- I probably would not have chosen these fabrics from a fabric store, but hey it was good practice.
I learned something new every time I make something. One of these days I will make something I actually want to keep.
